Sara Fishko has worked for five decades in the worlds of music, film, TV and radio. Along the way she’s acquired an Emmy Award for film editing, a Deems Taylor/ASCAP prize for the ten-episode Jazz Loft Radio Series, and the National Headliner’s “Best in Show” for her radio documentary on Modernism, Culture Shock 1913. Her documentary feature film, The Jazz Loft According to W. Eugene Smith, a New York Times “Critic’s Pick”, had its premiere run at Metrograph in 2016. Fishko also won multiple journalism prizes for her signature culture series and podcast, Fishko Files, heard regularly via Public Radio from 1998 to 2021.
